My new york trip was amazing. We met with some very accomplished people related with the P.R. industry such as:
Ms. Rachel Cohen, Director of Integrated Marketing for SVP Worldwide and the interface between SVP and Martha Stewart, spokesperson for SVP products.
Ms. Kathleen Huddy Sperduto, Textiles, Paper & Plastics Director and also covers Apparel, Luggage and Carpet for Good Housekeeping Magazine.
PRSSA
Mr. Maneesh Goyal; the founder, president and event and marketing guru of MKG Productions.
Mr. Randy Herbertson the co-founder of SeeSaw
Mr.Mark Newman; partner and former Senior Vice President of Hunter PR, a Public Relations Firm. Mr. Newman is partially in the picture:)
Mr. Ahmad Corbitt; Director of the New York Office of Public and International Affairs for the LDS church.
It just worked out too that he had a meeting with 4 United Nations embassadors which we got to participate in. It was AMAZING!!!!! The church office building was actually attached to the Manhattan Temple, so we got to look at the beautiful temple in the middle of manhattan as well.
We also had a lot of free time to explore new york. We went to central park, shopped, some of us went to Wicked, took a fairy to see the Statue of Liberty, our teacher Stephen Whyte wooed a bellsman at a hotel to take us up to a room so we could overlook into ground zero, where they are building the new towers. It was literally amazing. We did a ton of exploring and site seeing it was a very cool trip. It was cool to see my professors in a more personal light, and we all had a really good time together as friends. It was very helpful to meet with all the people we did, and an absolute once in a life time opportunity:)
