My lovely semester..

I am horrible at blogging! But life is busy, what can ya do. Life these past few months have been CRAZYY busy. I was an adviser for a campaign on campus that some other PR students launched. I attended a lot of events and helped in a lot of preparation and carrying out the actual campaign. We prepared and networked for the whole month of January, and then launched February 1st-28th. My life was insane. Not a lot of sleep, never at home, not a whole lot of time to get other homework done either.. yet somehow i've been able to keep my grades up. It was actually quite amazing to be a part of, to help plan and carry out a campaign to compete with different Universities across the country, and I think we did very well. We'll see in a little bit here just how well:) This month has been all evaluation, collecting data, counting numbers.. to determine just how many people we reached. Pretty dang cool. Since officially declaring my major as P.R. last summer.. I have had some really cool experiences. In the fall I helped out at the Public Forum at UVU with Steve Forbes, and Senator Hatch was supposed to be there but he was at Senator Kennedy's funeral; however, I totally lucked out and ended up working closely with Senator Hatch's assistant.. who was so nice and apparently impressed as she gave me her card and told me to contact her if i ever wanted an internship. Well.. I e-mailed her to thank her and after a few e-mails.. she referred me to someone in the Provo office.. him and I emailed a few times but determined the best time to discuss things would be April 1st... A week and a bit ago I got a email from this man asking if I was still interested in an interview. AMAZING! So tuesday I had my interview, went really great.. but the internship won't be till the fall or january in Washington, DC; but he said he was really impressed with me and will get in touch when they decide on interns for the fall and January. Who knows what will happen, but just to get to that point was SO cool for me.

On Wednesday I will be departing for NEW YORK CITY!!!! For 4 days:) I got chosen along with 6 other students out of the whole communications department that applied.. there were a lot;) We will be meeting with some pretty amazing people, I can not wait! I will blog about that when I get back..

I have this cool boy in my life that I tend to spend every weekend with, either at his house an hour and a bit south of Provo.. or here in happy valley. We have fun together:)

Two weekends ago I went to Idaho with my room mates to spend time up at Sydney's house. So much fun.. the pictures will tell all...

This past weekend I made a VERY quick trip back home to Calgary to attend my close friend's wedding and my best friend Alana's mission farewell before she departs to the Independence, Missouri Visitor's Center! It was totally work the 26 hour drive and 32ish hours of actually being in Calgary. I bauled like a baby at the farewell.. but I couldn't be more excited and happy for Alana. You will do AMAZING. I'm so proud of you:) I love you girl!

Let me know when you'll be interning in D.C.! I'm still trying to figure out if I want to come back to Provo or go to D.C. after England, and if you're going in the fall, well that may be enough motivation for me to go, too!
