UVU PRSSA Etiquette Dinner Fundraiser

In order for PRSSA chapters at universities across the U.S. to put on events, and go to bigger events such as the National Conference we just attended, the trip we took to New York in March, or do anything period, schools have to put on fundraisers. I'm in the UVU PRSSA presidency and after a failed fundraiser idea back in september, we came up with a more realistic and fun idea to put on an etiquette dinner. We came up with a list of local businesses, companies we had personal connections with, and different departments at UVU who we thought would possibly sponsor a table for $200.

Up until the week before the event we only had 2 sponsors, luckily we ended up with 8 sponsors and around 70 students who bought tickets. It turned out to be a huge success! We had a lady come teach us proper etiquette as we all ate a 7 course meal made by UVU catering. It was delicious! I was very impressed. I think everyone enjoyed dressing up for a night and had a good time learning proper etiquette that will help us all in future business settings. UVU PRSSA will probably start to put the etiquette dinner on every year from now on as the fundraiser as we feel it will just get bigger and bigger.

You are seriously so amazing! I can't believe you helped put that thing on - it looks like it was amazing! I want to learn proper etiquiette! and how cool to think that if they end up making it an annual event, you were involved in the one that started it all. You are seriously so awesome!
